I love this dress, the shape, the hem, the pockets, the fabric, and the earthy colors. However, the sizes do not accommodate bodies that are a little more full and soft. I bought the XL when I was clearly a small to medium in most brands because I don't like things tight, especially around my waist, I like a little bit more flow. Luckily as I have put on a little more weight, it still fits, but it doesn't have the flow it used to, and there aren't any larger sizes.
My biggest complaint is that the arm holes are too large, showing my bra. They show about an inch or so of my bra below my armpit. I think that when I was in the shop trying on this dress, the arm holes did not show my bra in the smaller sizes. However, it was years ago. I am 5'5" and weigh 140 lbs, but these arm holes could accommodate my thighs or the arms of someone weighing 300 lbs.
I have a second dress that I bought a couple years ago, because despite my bra showing I love the dress. I am a professional who can wear casual clothes to work, but I still feel the need for my not to show. I don't want to change my style, so I wear a cardigan over the dress.
Please consider making larger sizes with more appropriate arm holes, and adjusting the arm holes in your existing dresses. Also, I would love a dress that is almost exactly like this, except the curving outward below the empire waste flare, flares more to create a little more flow, and the upper body is cut slightly looser for soft larger and softer bodies.
My motivation for leaving this review is a hope that I could have some dresses cut for my body, even if the designer does not want to change what is normally offered. I live in Portland and because there is a shop here, I am hoping the designer lives here too.
